International Conference on "Framework for a New Paradigm in Human Development"

The international conference on a "Framework for a New Paradigm in Human Development" will be organised by the World Academy of Art & Science in collaboration with Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC) at Baku, Azerbaijan on April 29 & 30, 2015.

The conference will be a penultimate step in preparation of a report on the need, characteristics and pathways to a new paradigm building on and synthesizing the findings of earlier conferences conducted over the last three years at New Delhi, Podgorica, Dubrovnik, Trieste, Zagreb, Alexandria, Geneva, Washington, Ottawa, Berkeley, Baku, Brasilia, Budapest and Almaty with participants from leading organizations: notably, United Nations Office at Geneva, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Club de Madrid, Club of Rome, Dag Hammarskjöld University College of International Relations and Diplomacy, European Leadership Network, European Movement International, Green Cross International, Inter Academy Panel, International Labour Organisation, Library of Alexandria, Montenegrin Academy of Sciences & Arts, Nizami Ganjavi International Center, Partnership for Change, Parliamentarians for Nuclear Non-proliferation and Disarmament, Pugwash, World Academy of Sciences for the advancement of science in developing countries and World Future Council. This conference will constitute the second half of a larger event organized by NGIC beginning on April 28th that will bring together around 100 present and former political leaders and statesmen. You are also invited to participate in the first part of this event. The format will include a few short presentations combined with topical sessions for in-depth discussion in which all participants are invited to contribute.
