Disease Control Priorities, Third Edition (DCP3) is a tool meant to spur discussion and give guidance on efficient ways to purchase health in low-resource settings.The Advisory Committee to the DCP3 Editors (DCP3 ACE) assures quality and intellectual credibility at the highest level of the DCP3 process. The Committee oversees the DCP3 peer review process coordinated by the Inter-Academy Medical Panel (IAMP) and implemented by the US National Academy of Medicine (US NAM)
DCP - EMRO Mental Health Policy Forum
On Tuesday, June 16 DCP3 and DCP & WHO Regional Office for the Eastern Mediterranean (WHO EMRO) hosted a policy forum in London, UK on mental health which brought together policymakers from eight countries and experts on mental health. The forum offered participants an opportunity to share lessons learned, gain policy insights, and discuss ways to enhance the relevance and usability of the DCP3 volume on mental, neurological, and substance use disorders.

The main objectives of the meeting were to share the progress of DCP3 since the 2014 ACE meeting; review Chapter 1 of the Reproductive Maternal Newborn and Child Health RMNCH and Mental Health volumes;The meeting also provided an opportunity to present dissemination results for the Essential Surgery volumeThe meeting was attended by ACE members, DCP3 editors, chapter reviewers, and other colleagues who are contributing to the development, production, and dissemination of the DCP3 series
June 23, 2015: Two new DCP3 draft chapters are available for review and public comment: "Neurological Disorders", in the Mental, Neurological, and Substance Use Disorders volume, and "Innovations to Expand Access and Improve Quality of Care", in the RMNCH volume.
