Dr. Lazzat Kussainova has worked in public service for more than 20 years. Nowadays she is the founder and president of the International Centre for Scientific Collaboration, which carries out its activities in Kazakhstan and has a wide range of cooperation with the scientific communities of the country, foreign embassies and international scientific organizations such as ECOSF, IIP, INSTP, INIC and others.
Between 2010 and 2017, she was the Deputy Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Republic of Kazakhstan.
Dr. Lazzat Kussainova holds a PhD in Law and Master of Public Policy (Duke University, USA). Her research interests are in law and she is an expert in the field of Kazakhstani environmental, agricultural and land law, intellectual property law and human rights. Also she is the author of several monographies, study guides and scientific publications in law. Since 2010 she is also a Patent Attorney of the Republic of Kazakhstan. She has extensive legislative drafting skills. In particular, she is the drafter of laws such as the Law on Civil Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Law on Peasant (Farming) Farms, the Law on Science, and has an author's certificate for the draft Concept of the Law on Commercialization of the Results of Scientific and (or) Scientific and Technical Activities, as well as the draft Law on Commercialization of the Results of Scientific and (or) Scientific and Technical Activities, which was adopted in Kazakhstan in October 2015.
Dr. Lazzat Kussainova is involved in popularization of science in Kazakhstan and promotion of the children's scientific projects for international scientific competitions.
