When the Earth Rumbles - English translation now available.

The publication of this book 'When the Earth Rumbles' in the English language based on the original French book ‘Quand la Terre gronde’ by La main à la pâte Foundation was undertaken by the International Science, Technology and Innovation Centre for South-South Cooperation under the auspices of UNESCO (ISTIC).  Earth rumbles

The English version of “When the Earth Rumbles” is an effort by ISTIC to bring current issues that affect our lives closer to the classroom. As the world changes, there is more so the need to discuss with the young the consequences of some of the threats of today. Understanding the nature of natural disasters, how it happens, what consequences it brings to the environment should be a topic that would be of great interest to pupils particularly in areas that are prone to such calamities.
