EASAC-FEAM: Launch of AI in European Healthcare Report

MAPBOX

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming healthcare, offering new opportunities to improve diagnosis, treatment and patient care while raising important questions around safety, ethics and governance.

Join the European Academies' Science Advisory Council (EASAC) and the Federation of European Academies of Medicine (FEAM) for the launch of their new report, AI in European Healthcare: Policy Recommendations for Optimising Added Value and Safe, Ethical, and Inclusive Adoption, on 30 September 2026.

Developed in collaboration with EASAC and FEAM member academies, the report presents evidence-based recommendations for the responsible integration of AI into European healthcare systems. It examines clinical evidence generation, regulatory frameworks, data interoperability, privacy, transparency, explainability, equitable access, workforce readiness and the education needed to support the safe adoption of AI-powered health technologies.

The launch event will feature two panel discussions bringing together policymakers, regulators, healthcare professionals and patient representatives to explore how AI can be implemented safely, ethically and effectively to maximise benefits for patients and health systems.

The event will take place in Brussels and will also be live streamed, allowing participants from around the world to join the discussion. Register to attend in person or online.
