The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) and the Global Young Academy / University of Pretoria’s Africa Science Leadership Program (ASLP) are collaborating on a science policy workshop to provide emerging African leaders in science with the opportunity to enrich their understanding of and engagement with science advice for policy. Through interactive and experiential sessions, scientists will learn communication skills for effective engagement with policymakers and for translation of knowledge for policy impact.
The 1.5 day policy workshop will engage 35 emerging leaders from Africa interested in working in, or learning how to influence science policy.
The workshop will be immediately followed by the official opening of the Future Africa Institute on 29 March. The event will bring together researchers, funders and other leaders in science from across the continent.
Registration for the event is now closed.
