The European Academies’ Science Advisory Council (EASAC), a regional network of IAP, invites policymakers, scientists and stakeholders to the launch of its latest Environment Programme report: 'Changing Wildfires: Policy Options for a Fire-literate and Fire-adapted Europe.'
As Europe faces an escalating risk of large-scale landscape fires due to climate change and land-use pressures, the report presents urgent, science-based policy recommendations for enhancing wildfire preparedness, prevention, and response across the continent. This hybrid event will bring together leading scientists and decision-makers to discuss the report’s key findings and explore concrete actions for European policy.
