The Science-Innovation Interface in Latin America

The Brazilian Academy of Sciences (ABC), in partnership with the Inter-American Network of Academies of Sciences (IANAS), will host the high-level panel “The Science–Innovation Interface in Latin America” on June 8, 2026, in Rio de Janeiro, bringing together leading scientists, representatives of Science Academies from seven countries in the region, and innovation experts to foster dialogue and strengthen links between science and innovation systems. The initiative will be followed, on June 9, by a meeting of the Latin American Network of Innovation Agencies (RELAI) at FINEP, which is the Brazilian federal agency responsible for innovation, convening Academies and innovation agencies from member countries and offering a valuable opportunity to deepen collaboration, exchange experiences and advance joint agendas between scientific institutions and key actors of the regional innovation ecosystem.
