The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) is pleased to share that the 7th General Assembly and International Conference of the Organization for Women in Science for the Developing World (OWSD) will take place from 3 to 7 November 2025 in Bogotá, Colombia. The event will run in parallel with the Third Interregional Dialogue on Education and Development, organized by OBREAL.
This week-long gathering will bring together women scientists, policymakers, and partners from across the globe to discuss strategies for advancing women’s participation and leadership in science, technology, and innovation — with a special focus on fostering equitable education and sustainable development through interregional collaboration.
The conference programme features a wide range of livestreamed sessions, which will be accessible via OWSD’s YouTube channel and the General Assembly webpage. Highlights include keynote addresses, regional dialogues, and thematic sessions exploring gender equality, data for policy, and new tools for measuring women’s participation in science.
