Biography

Carlotta Rinaldo (Padua, 1986) is Associate Professor of company and business law at the University of Padua. She holds a law degree (110/110 with honours) from the University of Padua and obtained a diploma from the ‘Galileiana’ School of Advanced University Studies (70/70 with honours). In 2016 she obtained a PhD (with honours and distinction) from the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin. She has given invited talks at national and international conferences. She is the author of three monographs (Die Haftung Dritter in Deutschland und Italien. Eine handelsrechtliche Untersuchung zu Ratingagenturen und PartG, DeGruyter, Berlin, 2017; Rating incongrui e tutele del mercato, Giuffré, Milan, 2017; Business Negotiations and the Law. The Protection of Weak Professional Parties in Standard Form Contracting, Routledge, London, 2020), as well as articles and contributions on various aspects of company, bankruptcy and economic law, with particular attention to the transnational and the comparative dimensions. She is member of the editorial board of renowned italian law journals and international research projects. She has been a Visiting Fellow at the European University Institute in Fiesole, at the DFG-Graduiertenkolleg DynamInt at the Humboldt Universität zu Berlin and at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative and International Private Law in Hamburg. In 2018 she received the Feltrinelli Giovani Award from the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei and from 2023 she is Director of the Centro Interdisciplinare Linceo Giovani.
