Biography

Dr. Faridah Amin established and is currently heading the Department of Family Medicine at Liaquat National Hospital and Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan, which is one of the largest not for profit hospital in the country. She completed her Masters in Clinical Research and a four year postgraduate training in Family Medicine in Aga Khan University Hospital, Karachi in 2009. The same year she became Fellow of College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (FCPS) and Member of RCGP (MRCGP international). She further went on to complete PhD in Health Science from the same University in 2014. In 2015, she was awarded Gold medal and “Young Research Scholar” award for her clinical trial on the efficacy of Turmeric and Black seeds in Metabolic syndrome (TAK-METS). She is also the founder member of MRCGP international and overseas network.
