The first All European Academies Madame de Staël Prize for Cultural Values will be awarded to Luisa Passerini, Professor emeritus of cultural history at the University of Turin, for her exceptional scholarly work on European cultural values and identity representing an outstanding intellectual contribution to the idea of European integration.
The President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, will award the Prize to the Italian Professor of Cultural History on the afternoon of 9 April 2014 at the Palais des Académies in Brussels.
