Call to Participate: GERI Research Skills Survey for Early-Career Researchers

Help shape future training opportunities for young scientists and win a chance to join a workshop in the US

The Global Ecosystem Research Infrastructure (GERI) is inviting early-career researchers, particularly from Asia, to participate in its ongoing Research Skills Survey. The survey seeks to identify training needs and skill gaps across disciplines and regions, to better support the next generation of scientists.

While researchers at all career stages are welcome to respond, early-career participants who complete the survey by 31 March 2025 will be eligible for a randomised prize draw. The prize is a fully funded place at a research training workshop in Boulder, Colorado, USA, planned for Summer 2025. The workshop will include:

  • Professional skills training
  • Manuscript writing and data hackathons
  • Field trips and networking opportunities

The survey remains open until 31 May 2025.
