Faraday Discovery Fellowships – Accelerated International Route

The Royal Society’s Faraday Discovery Fellowships – Accelerated International Route provides a fast-track pathway for exceptional mid-career STEM researchers based overseas to relocate to the UK. Designed to support time-sensitive recruitment or cases of exceptional circumstances, these fellowships offer grants of up to £4 million over five years, enabling fellows to establish ambitious research programs that strengthen the UK’s scientific leadership.

This accelerated route runs alongside the standard Faraday Discovery Fellowships and is ideal for researchers whose expertise can make an immediate and significant impact on UK research priorities. Nominations are open on a rolling basis, with the next assessment points scheduled for 25 November 2025 and 25 February 2026.
