Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei: The G8+5 Academies' Meeting 2009 is a meeting of the science academies of the G8 countries and five others (Brazil, China, India, Mexico, South Africa) organized every year by the academy of the country hosting the G8 Summit. In 2009 Italy hosts the G8 Summit.
The preliminary Meeting of Academies will be organized by the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei from 26-27 March 2009 in Rome. The key topics will be: 1) New technologies for the production and conservation of energy; 2) International migration flows. The participating academies plan to release two joint statements to be presented to the G8 Summit through the Italian Government.
