Happy World Water Day! 22 March 2012

World Water Day is held annually on 22 March as a means of focusing attention on the importance of freshwater and advocating for the sustainable management of freshwater resources.  IAP works on water issues at the global and regional levels. An international symposium on Enhancing Water Management Capacity in a Changing World, organized by the Interamerican Network of Academies of Sciences (IANAS), the Brazilian Academy of Sciences and IAP, will take place on 25-28 June 2012 in São Paulo, Brazil.
