The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) is pleased to share highlights from the 15th Biennial IHRN Meeting, held 9–11 September in Oslo, Norway, and hosted by the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters (DNVA).
This year’s theme—‘The Relationship Between Academic Freedom and Human Rights’—brought together 53 participants from 38 national academies, alongside leaders in the academic and human rights communities. Discussions focused on the rising global threats to academic freedom and explored how national academies can safeguard human rights, including the fundamental right to participate in and benefit from science.
A concise meeting synopsis is now available below for download, and a more detailed report—complete with video recordings of the public symposium and event photos—will be posted soon on the IHRN website.
