IAC Co-chairs Comment on IPCC Plenary

The co-chairs of the InterAcademy Council issued a short statement on developments at last week’s IPCC plenary session in South Korea

Statement by IAC Co-chairs Robbert Dijkgraaf, president of the Royal Netherlands Academy of Arts and Sciences, and Lu Yongxiang, president of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.

“We are pleased that the IAC report was given careful consideration at the IPCC plenary and that its recommendations have begun to be acted upon. We hope that the IAC report will continue to inform decisions about further strengthening of IPCC processes and procedures.”
