IANAS Video Contest 2024: Winners Announced

Nearly 100 videos were submitted from students across the Americas.

The Inter-American Network of Academies of Sciences (IANAS) has announced the winners of the IANAS Video Contest 2024. This year’s contest saw an overwhelming response, with nearly 100 video submissions from students across the continent, demonstrating the creativity and passion of young people in science communication.

To selected the winners, the decision-making process was split, with the expert jury's input accounting for 80% of the final score and a public vote for 20%. Four semifinalists from each category were posted on the IANAS YouTube channel, with public voting open until 16 August 2024. The final decision was made by the jury after a group of audiovisual experts from the National University of Córdoba (UNC) provided their assessments.

Winners in Category A (14-18 years old):

The winning videos showcase outstanding talent in communicating science in creative and engaging ways, reflecting the diverse perspectives of young people across the Americas. IANAS congratulates all participants for their incredible efforts and thanks everyone who contributed to making this year’s contest a success.
