IPBES to Host Online Quarterly Stakeholder Meeting on 4 June

Scenarios and Models Unit to Provide Insight as Stakeholders Convene During Executive Transition

The Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) has announced its upcoming quarterly stakeholder meeting, scheduled to take place online on 4 June 2025 from 13:00 to 14:00 CEST (GMT+2).

This meeting serves as a vital forum for stakeholders, defined under IPBES decision IPBES/3/4, Annex II, to engage directly with the IPBES secretariat. Attendees will receive updates on the work programme and learn about current opportunities for involvement. The session will feature a presentation by the Scenarios and Models technical support unit, offering a comprehensive overview of its work and an opportunity for questions and discussion.

Participation is especially encouraged for members of the Open-Ended Network of IPBES Stakeholders (ONet) and the International Indigenous Forum on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IIFBES), though all interested individuals and organisations are welcome to join.

The meeting will also mark a transitional period, with the Officer-in-Charge of the IPBES secretariat attending in the interim before a new Executive Secretary is appointed.
