IPBES Invites Governments and Experts to Provide Feedback on Second Global Assessment
The International Platform for Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) has announced the external review phase for the draft scoping report of the second global assessment on biodiversity and ecosystem services: 27 May to 30 June 2024.
The assessment aims to evaluate the status of biodiversity and ecosystem services globally.
The review process invites participation from governments, experts, scientists, decision-makers, practitioners and other knowledgeable individuals. The feedback received will play a crucial role in shaping the final report.
To facilitate dialogue and engagement, IPBES will organize meetings during the review period:

Dialogues with Governments:
- First session: 11 June 2024, 10 a.m. - noon CEST
- Second session: 11 June 2024, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. CEST

Dialogues with Stakeholders:
- First session: 12 June 2024, 10 a.m. - noon CEST
- Second session: 12 June 2024, 4 p.m. - 6 p.m. CEST
IPBES encourages active participation from all stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive assessment of global biodiversity and ecosystem services.
