 
       
       
      The Royal Society will open nominations for its prestigious annual medals and awards on 1 December 2025. These honors recognize researchers and teams making exceptional contributions across the biological, physical, and applied sciences, celebrating excellence in discovery, innovation, and leadership in science.
A total of 28 medals and awards are available this year, several of which include prize lectures, offering recipients the opportunity to share their groundbreaking work with the global scientific community. These awards are open to scientists across the UK, Republic of Ireland, the Commonwealth and internationally, highlighting the Society’s commitment to recognizing excellence wherever it occurs.
Nominations will remain open until 20 February 2026, providing ample time to acknowledge remarkable individuals or research teams whose work is shaping the future of science.
