TOP STORY Good scientists need strong research skills, of course. But to build successful careers, they need other skills not often taught in universities: writing an effective research proposal, for example, or applying for a grant, or avoiding plagiarism. More than 40 TWAS research grant awardees from 11 developing countries convened in Kathmandu, Nepal, for high-value sessions to improve these skills. The workshop was held 4-6 June with support from the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida).
