About the webinar

On the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, ISC, IAP and SCGES present the findings of their landmark study on gender equality across academies, unions, and disciplinary societies worldwide. Drawing on a decade of data from 2015 to 2025, the project provides the clearest global picture to date of women’s participation, leadership, recognition and the remaining barriers in scientific organizations.

The third edition of the report combines data from 136 organizations with insights from nearly 650 scientists and targeted interviews. It offers an unprecedented view of both institutional structures and the lived experiences shaping access, leadership and inclusion.

The webinar will present key findings, highlight examples of effective practices and discuss the structural changes needed to make scientific organizations more equitable and representative. Scientific leaders, policy makers and researchers will gain new evidence and actionable approaches to strengthen gender equality globally.
