Biography

Bisma Fazeen served as a Research Associate for the InterAcademy Partnership. She is an international development professional by training with over four years of experience in program implementation, strategic planning, and monitoring and evaluation. She most recently worked for the Multilateral Organisation Performance Assessment Network as a Graduate Research Consultant where she and her colleagues proposed recommendations to improve the organization's approach to evaluating the effectiveness of humanitarian and development organizations. Prior to this, Bisma managed a large grant for the NYC Mayor’s Office to bolster economic empowerment across 55 community-based organizations serving vulnerable and at-risk youth. There she supported the updating of the monitoring and evaluation system to increase equitable award giving and transparency of outcomes. Bisma has also worked in Thailand as a teacher and adviser to improve English language learning near the border of Myanmar and managed programs that addressed the skills gap in maternal health practitioners in Haiti. She firmly believes in the InterAcademy Partnership’s mission to promote the use of evidence in policy-making to address the world's most pressing issues, which she is excited to contribute her diverse experience to as a Research Associate. Bisma holds a M.S. in Development Management from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Global Affairs from George Mason University.
