Ghada Bassioni , Dr. rer. nat. 2004, TUM, Germany, has been appointed as the Acting President of Seneca (Cairo) and the Provost of Saxony Egypt University for Applied Science and Technology in Egypt in 2024. She is affiliated to ASRT through the NCPAC committee. She was appointed as the Erasmus+ Coordinator (NEO) in Egypt 2023/2024. She was a member of the Global Young Academy from 2013-2018. She holds the renowned Incentive State Award of Egypt (Chemistry) since 2013. In the same year, she received the Young Scientist Award at WEF. In 2016 she received the Next Einstein Forum Award and the African Science Leadership Award. She is a Fulbright fellow as well as L.A.B. fellow, a consortium of three organizations:  Nobel Laureate Meetings in Lindau, the European Forum in Alpbach and the Falling Walls in Berlin since 2016. In 2023 she has been appointed as a fellow of the prestigious International Science Council ISC and recently selected as the Advisory Board of IAP. She is heavily engaged in technical, scientific and gender related workshops, conferences and fora through GYA, IUPAC, UNESCO, Erasmus+ and many more. She organized several fora in disseminating awareness of sustainability concepts in an African context.
