Madeleine was born in Birmingham, UK and graduated from Cardiff University in 2016 in French and Italian. She is currently enrolled on a master’s course at LUISS University in Rome where she will continue to study for a year.  Madeleine speaks Italian, English and French. She applied to the Internship Programme at the IAP Secretariat at the TWAS campus in Trieste under the supervision of the IAP Coordinator, Dr. Peter McGrath. Throughout her time at IAP Madeleine wrote and edited reports, sourced information from files and wrote up summaries. She also fixed broken or out-of-date links on the IAP website, sent out bulk emails to academy members, updated various fields, attended meetings on the editing of the annual report and issued emails to member academies. Madeleine further assisted in the finalization of figures for a book on ‘Exploring Traditional Medicine’.
