Irene holds three degrees: Master of Science in Sustainable Development & Climate Change from the University of Botswana, MBA from Jomo Kenyatta University, and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science & Management from the International University of East Africa (Uganda). Irene works at Vuba Corp, a PRT company, where she developed tools to facilitate calculating the climate impacts of different transportation modes including Personal Rapid Ttransit (PRT). Before joining Vuba, Irene was the Business Development Manager for Yego Innovision, a prominent Rwandan startup in the public transportation industry. Irene provided strategic oversight and programmatic decision-making, and developed a rapid scale strategy for the company. Irene led public relations work with the key government institutions in Rwanda, and provided vision, leadership and­­ management to the Rwandan transport industry.
