Seung-Won Lee, MD, PhD, is a Professor in the Department of Precision Medicine at Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) School of Medicine, Korea. He is a Fellow of the Korean Academy of Science and Technology (KAST) and an Official Senior Collaborator of the Global Burden of Disease (GBD) Research by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME).

He has a unique background as a medical doctor licensed in both Korea and Japan. As a specialist in Biomedical Informatics and AI in Medicine, his research spans across diverse medical domains utilizing claim datasets from Korea and Japan, as well as Electronic Medical Records from Samsung Medical Center.

He actively contributes to national and global health studies, including non-communicable diseases, pediatrics, mental health, and precision oncology. Committed to validating scientific hypotheses through real-world data, he aims to advance global health through collaborative research.
