Margherita jointed the InterAcademy Partnership Secretariat as Acting Project Assistant in 2019. Since 2007, she has been working at OGS, Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale (National Institute of Oceanography and Applied Geophysics), an internationally oriented public research institution in Trieste, Italy.  At OGS she spent several years in the Human Resources Department recruiting research fellowships and supporting researchers' career development. Furthermore, she was involved with Italian and European projects related to science diplomacy, capacity building and international mobility making sure they comply with the relevant Italian laws and procedures.
