Roberto Williams is Emeritus Professor of the University of Mar del Plata (Argentina) and Emeritus Researcher of the National Research Council (CONICET, Argentina). He was the organizer and first Director of the Institute of Materials Science and Technology (INTEMA, Argentina, with an actual staff over 200 members). He is a fellow of TWAS and of the
National Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences (ANCEFN, Argentina), where he served as President of the Section of Engineering (2012-2016), President of the Academy (2016-2020) and Member of the Executive Board (since 2020).
