Based at the IAP Secretariat office hosted by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC, Ms. Nordt's duties include research, data analysis, administration, logistical coordination, and program support. Most recently, she taught German at the University of Kentucky. Sophia holds a B.A. in German from Willamette University and an M.A. in German as well as an M.A. in Diplomacy and International Commerce, both from the University of Kentucky. Additionally, she studied at the Universität Heidelberg and worked in Sydney, Australia.
