Tony Carr
Biography

Tony is a Research Fellow at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM). He recently finished his PhD at University College London on the impacts of land degradation and climate change on cereal production. Prior to his PhD, he obtained a degree in geography and water management and worked in research on the sustainability of water use in irrigated maize production in the USA. His current research at LSHTM focuses on the links between agriculture, environmental sustainability, and healthy diets. Among other activities, he is involved in the FACE-Africa project, which aims to provide country-specific information on climate change adaptation strategies in West Africa and to ensure sufficient food supply for their populations today and in the future.
