Tracie Paola Méndez Saravia

Tracie Paola Méndez Saravia (Guatemala) is a co-founder of the Collective for the Participation of Children and Youth in Guatemala (COPIJ).This organization promotes human rights of women and youth, especially all forms of violence against women. She has been a long member of the Reproductive Health Observatory - OSAR, supporting national dialogue and awareness-raising processes for the prevention of child pregnancies in girls and adolescents, as well as the prevention of harassment and human trafficking. She is also a member of the Referral Network of the regional Public Prosecutor's Office and the Network Against Sexual Violence, Exploitation, and Human Trafficking, which are inter-institutional coordination bodies to generate progress in case prevention and the protection and care of victims. She is also advisor for Guatemala for the Global Frida Fund, where she is supporting feminist organizations and collective efforts on issues of sexual harassment, human trafficking, gender-based violence, and other issues. She holds a PhD in Research for Social Development and her academic processes help me improve my work for society and women.
