Biography

FANTONG Wilson Yetoh , obtained a PhD in Hydro geochemistry from the University of Toyama-Japan in 2010. Full time researcher by profession, he is currently Chief Research Officer (Directeur de Recherche), highest rank in the Research Cadre of  the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation (MINRESI) and leads the Hydrology and Climate Change Unit at the Institute of Geological and Mining Research (IRGM) of MINRESI, Cameroon. He is a Fellow of the Cameroon Academy of Sciences, chair of the Scientific and Technical Committee of Global Water Partnership-Cameroon, Coordinator of the Scientific Committee for mitigating limnic eruptions in Cameroon, Laison Professor of the University of Toyama in Japan and visiting lecturer at the University of Buea-Cameroon.  His research profession focuses on the hydrosphere-lithosphere Earth factories and has contributed evidence-based results and leveraged scientific knowledge for fundamental, applied and development facets of research, which have distilled to identification of problems and solutions related to water quality, water quantity, environmental health, natural disasters, and mitigation of carbon-dioxide explosions from lakes.   Concurrently he is appointed Chief of Service in the Scientific Policy and Planning Division of the Ministry of Scientific Research and Innovation-Cameroon
