With climate change becoming an urgent international issue, 2021 was a year for deepening discussions on setting goals for net zero emissions and policies and measures to reach them. This conference invites experts from various academic fields in Japan and abroad to participate in a discussion on how academia should contribute to the world achieving net zero, taking into account the latest trends on the relevance of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) outlined in the UN Agenda 2030.
The conference will explore the roles of academia across disciplines focusing on 'Net Zero Emissions in Asia' and 'Synergies and Trade-offs related to Climate Change.'
