The 2024 Annual Meeting of African Science Academies (AMASA 2024) Conference and NASAC General Assembly Meeting will be graciously hosted by the Algerian Academy of Science and Technology (AAST) at the International Conference Center (CIC) in Algiers, Algeria, on 26-28 November 2024.
The theme of the Conference is “Resources, Science and Technology for Development in Africa” and will focus on 3 sub-themes:
- Ensuring One Health in Africa: mathematical, numerical and biotechnological approaches.
- Natural hazards and their impact on the environment and health in Africa.
- Mobilization of skills and pooling of scientific and technological resources in Africa.
AMASA 2024 will provide an opportunity to discuss the development of science and its applications in social, economic and industrial fields in Africa. A particular focus will however be given to the challenges faced when applying science in various aspects of African societies for harmonious and sustainable development. All Conference sessions will endeavour to allow delegates and experts to participate by making thematic presentations and being part of panel discussions in plenary style deliberations.
The AMASA 2024 flyer is available here and the concept note of the event with more detailed information is available here. Should you be interested in submitting a paper for the consideration of the Scientific Committee to either give a talk or present a poster, kindly fill out the 2024 AMASA Call for Papers before 20 June 2024. Kindly note that selected delegates will be contacted with further instructions on the next steps.
Please be informed that neither registration nor submission of papers guarantees your participation in AMASA 2024.
