

The conferment of the “Antonio Feltrinelli” Prizes, established in the memory of Dr. Antonio Feltrinelli, is one of the most prestigious activities of the Accademia nazionale dei Lincei the prizes are of great importance not only for the significant remuneration that is awarded, but mainly for the outstanding achievements of prize recipients.
The 2026 «Antonio Feltrinelli» Prizes, will be awarded specifically:
Six International Prizes reserved to both Italians and foreigners, in the amount of € 100.000 each (gross amount before tax deductions) in the field of:
• Social Sciences;
• Philology (not conferred in 2025);
• Chemistry;
• Linguistics;
• Theater.
• Medicine
Four National Prizes reserved to Italian citizens, in the amount of € 65.000 each (gross amount before tax deductions) in the fields of:
• Mathematics, Mechanics and Applications;
• Physics;
• Geosciences;
• Biological Sciences.
Thirteen National Prizes entitled «Antonio Feltrinelli Giovani» will be awarded:
• Astronomy;
• Geodesy, Geophysics;
• Geosciences;
• Physics;
• Biological Sciences;
• Mathematics, Mechanics and Applications (not conferred in 2025);
• Information Sciences (not conferred in 2025);
• History;
• Philosophical Sciences;
• Archaeology;
• Legal Sciences;
• Arts;
• Social Sciences (not conferred in 2025)
These national prizes «Antonio Feltrinelli Giovani», in the amount of € 50.000 each (gross amount before tax deductions), will be awarded to Italian scholars - under the age of 40 on 31 October 2025 – for work that represents a significant and original contribution in the respective prize category.
