European academy networks elect new leadership

In recent days, two networks of European academies have announced the results of leadership elections.

The All European Academies Board (ALLEA) and the Federation of European Academies of Medicine (FEAM) have both elected new leadership.

In the case of ALLEA Antonio Loprieno becomes the new President. Antonio Loprieno assumed the Presidency of the European Federation of Academies of Sciences and Humanities, ALLEA (All European Academies), at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in Sofia on 17 May 2018. He took office for the term 2018-2021 following his election in 2017 and succeeded Professor Günter Stock (2012-2018). ALLEA also elected a new Board at their last General Assembly 16-18 May 2018 in Sofia.

Meanwhile, FEAM has announced that Prof. George Griffin, former member of the IAP for Health executive committee, has become the new President of FEAM. Professor Bernard Charpentier handed the FEAM Presidency over to him for a three-year term.
