We are delighted to share the positive outcomes of the recent IAP side-event at COP28, held on 9 December 2023. The session "The Role of Academies in Climate Policy Advice" was dedicated to exploring the indispensable role of national academies in the collaborative effort to provide impactful climate change policy advice to governments worldwide. Resulting from a collaboration with the New Voices program of the National Academy of Sciences (US), the event proved to be a resounding success, attracting an engaged audience of 60-70 participants who actively contributed to the vibrant discussions.
