Dr. Andrea Goldson-Barnaby is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Chemistry at the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona. She was elected Secretary of the Caribbean Academy of Sciences (CAS) at its 24th Biennial Conference in Barbados in 2025, reflecting her leadership and long-standing contributions to regional scientific development and collaboration. A recognized Fellow of CAS, Dr. Goldson-Barnaby has been actively involved in mentoring, capacity building, and advancing science across the Caribbean. She recently represented Jamaica at the 3rd ACS LATAM+C Meeting in Lima, Peru, strengthening collaboration among ACS student chapters in the region. Through her work in regional and international scientific forums, she continues to drive the advancement of science in the Caribbean and beyond.
