Frances Separovic
Foreign Secretary, Australian Academy of Sciences & Member of the IAP Advisory Committee
Professor Frances Separovic AO is a Biophysical Chemist based at the Bio21 Institute, University of Melbourne, and Foreign Secretary of the Australian Academy of Science.
Her research focus is on molecules in biological membranes, with an emphasis on peptide antibiotics and toxins.
She is a member of the InterAcademy Partnership Advisory (IAP) Committee, and the International Union of Pure & Applied Chemistry Science (IUPAC) Board.
Frances has served as President of the Biophysical Society (BPS); President of Australian New Zealand Society for Magnetic Resonance (ANZMAG); General Treasurer of Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI); and Council member of International Union of Pure & Applied Biophysics (IUPAB). http://separovic.chemistry.unimelb.edu.au
