Oscar Pamo
President of the National Academy of Medicine
Dr. Oscar Pamo is a distinguished Peruvian physician and academic. He earned his medical degree from the National University of San Marcos in Lima, Peru, and went on to specialize in internal medicine, completing both his master’s and doctoral degrees at the Faculty of Medicine, Cayetano Heredia University, also in Lima.
Dr. Pamo is an Emeritus Professor at Cayetano Heredia University and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (ACP). He has served as President of the Peruvian Society of Internal Medicine (SPMI) and as President of the Peruvian History of Medicine Association.
Throughout his career, he has acted as the principal investigator in numerous multicenter clinical trials for the pharmaceutical industry and has authored numerous medical articles and books. Currently, Dr. Pamo serves as the President of the National Academy of Medicine, continuing his lifelong dedication to advancing medical science and education in Peru.
