The IAP Annual Report provides an overview of IAP activities in 2023, with specific sections on activities by affiliated regional networks Association of Academies and Societies of Science in Asia (AASSA), European Academies’ Science Advisory Council (EASAC), Inter-American Network of Academies of Science (IANAS) and Network of African Science Academies (NASAC).
Our ongoing projects, such as the ‘Climate Change and Health’ initiative and the ‘Decarbonisation of Transport’ report, continue to influence global and regional policies, emphasizing the role of science in sustainable development. A series of webinars and the Biosecurity Working Group highlight our dedication to enhancing the global scientific community's capacity to address pressing challenges. Highlights include the successful triennial conference of the IAP Science Education Programme in Morocco and the continued nurturing of the Young Physician Leaders (YPL) network
The Report also gives evidence of IAP’s focus on providing science advice and promoting cooperation and capacity building among its membership - the world’s merit-based academies of science, medicine and engineering.
