The InterAcademy Partnership (IAP) is delighted to announce the provisional acceptance of three prestigious science academies into its global network: the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts, and the National Academy of Engineering and Habitat of Venezuela.
These academies have been accepted by the IAP Board as provisional members, with full membership to be confirmed following endorsement by the IAP General Assembly at its next meeting in 2025. This provisional status allows the academies to actively participate in all IAP activities, except voting, and ensures that their profiles will be featured on the IAP website.
Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS): Represented by Drs. Alirzayeva and Safarova, ANAS joins IAP with a strong commitment to advancing scientific knowledge and research in Azerbaijan and contributing to the broader global science community.
Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters, and Arts: Under the leadership of Prof. Emilianides, the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts brings together expertise from multiple disciplines, fostering collaboration across science, letters and the arts in Cyprus.
National Academy of Engineering and Habitat of Venezuela: Led by Prof. Buroz, this academy joins IAP with a focus on advancing engineering and sustainable development in Venezuela, contributing to the global dialogue on engineering and habitat-related challenges.
IAP warmly welcomes these new members and looks forward to their valuable contributions to the network. The inclusion of these academies reflects IAP's continued commitment to fostering collaboration among national and regional academies of sciences, medicine and engineering worldwide.
